Nigerian big boy and friend arrested for gang-r*ping his girlfriend in India

Two Nigerians, simply identified as Tony and Ubaka, have been arrested in India for allegedly r*ping a young lady who works at a software company in Bengaluru.

According to the SD Sharanappa, Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), the victim, who is in her 20s, was dating Tony, 35, before the alleged r*pe on August 29, ANI reports.

According to the complaint filed by the victim, Tony invited her from Andhra Pradesh to his house, where him and his friend allegedly s*dated and r*ped her.

She said she partied with Tony that night and allegedly had s*x, but when she woke up, she found the other accused, Ubaka, 36, also n*ked on the bed next to her.

She found that both Tony and Ubaka had s*x with her when she fell unconscious, the Karnataka police said.

According to her, Ubaka had tried to befriend her many times. However, she ignored him. On the day of the incident, Ubaka was present when she visited Tony’s house following which she became furious. Her boyfriend Tony and Ubaka then pacified her and the three partied afterwards.

The victim befriended Tony on social media and they had common friends. Ubaka too, tried to befriend the victim but refused. When she spoke to Tony about it, he too, ignored the matter.

The accused were arrested under Sections 376 (r*pe), 417 (cheating) and 506 (criminal intimidation) and sent to judicial custody, said the police.

Boko Haram throws Maiduguri into darkness again, blows up power tower.

Barely 72 hours after electric power was restored in Maiduguri, Borno State, Boko Haram insurgents on Saturday, March 27, blew up another transmission tower in the city. Premium Times reports that the insurgents planted explosives on each leg of the tower, which they detonated at about 6 a.m. In January, the terrorists struck power installations thrice at a location about 50km from Maiduguri to keep the city in the dark. The power, was however, restored on Wednesday, March 24, after nearly two months of blackout. While reconnecting the installation, three TCN officials were severely injured by a landmine planted by the insurgents. Another official was said to have lost his life after falling off a tower. The city has now been thrown into another darkness following the Saturday morning attack.
