Petty trader weeps after unknown thief stole her carton of fish in Benue

An unknown thief has stolen a carton of fish belonging to a petty trader in Gboko local government Area of Benue state.

According to Smith Akom Takema, an aide to the Benue State Governor, the widowed trader bought a carton of iced fish on Tuesday, May 25, dropped it at the usual spot where she normally does her business and went to buy firewood.

She was devasted and inconsolable when she returned and found the carton of fish missing. It was gathered that someone came on a motorcycle and stole it.

"A widow fries ice fish at the extreme of my fence, she bought a carton of ice fish this morning and dashed to a nearby firewood seller and someone came on the bike and picked it. She is crying like the whole world has come on her. I am move to tears." he wrote.
