Suspected rapist who had nude videos and photos of his victim on his phone arrested in Lagos

The Lagos state police command has arrested a suspected serial rapist, Onuorah Obi, pictured above, a resident of No 1, Buari Oloto Street, Ago Okota.

Confirming his arrest to newsmen, Ademuyiwa Adejobi who is the spokesperson of the state police command, said Obi was arrested on March 17 after his victim who lives in the same environment reported that the suspect raped her and recorded her nude pictures and videos.

''The police swung into action and arrested the suspect. When a search was conducted on his phone, nude pictures and videos of the victim were recovered from the phone.''Ademuyiwa said

He added that the state Commissioner of Police, Lagos State, CP Hakeem Odumosu has condemned the heinous acts of the suspect and has ordered that the matter be transferred to the Gender Unit of the command for further investigation and prosecution.

EFCC releases Obi Cubana after three nights in custody

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has finally released businessman Obi Cubana. He was arrested and taken to the headquarters of the anti-graft agency, Jabi, Abuja, on Monday, November 1, following allegations of money laundering and tax fr*ud. He was, however, released on Thursday evening, November 4, after he had spent three days in detention undergoing interrogations. According to the spokesman of the commission, Wilson Uwujaren, who confirmed the release to reporters on Thursday night, Cubana was allowed to go after the crack detectives of the commission completed their questioning.
