Ifeoma Okeke opens up on decision to lose weight

Plus-Size actress, Ifeoma Okeke-Ozzoude, has opened up on her decision to reduce her weight saying it has nothing to do with her love life or yearn for marriage.

Okeke said that her fans should watch-out for total transformation while stressing that her reason to lose weight is borne out of the need to stay healthy.

The obese actress revealed that she has been on a healthy journey for five months with the use of Joms Slimming Products.

“My reason for wanting to slim down is not because of any man or marriage. Why will I want to lose weight because of men? When I was battered many times in my previous relationship – to a point that I felt maybe marriage is not for me,” she said.

Continuing, the founder of Purple Campaign Initiative said “My reason for wanting to lose weight is simply because I want to stay healthy and not because of marriage. I recently lost my closest friend. She died as they were struggling to rush her to the hospital, all because she is obese. They couldn’t get her into the emergency car easily. If she was a slimmer person, she could have chances to survive.

“I’ve been sick and I know how it feels when you try to gas up as a fat person but nothing brought that self-realization until her death. So, this is my cause for wanting to shed fat from my body.

The ‘Moment of Sorrow’ star, was recently announced as the official Brand Ambassador of Joms Slimming Products.

Boko Haram throws Maiduguri into darkness again, blows up power tower.

Barely 72 hours after electric power was restored in Maiduguri, Borno State, Boko Haram insurgents on Saturday, March 27, blew up another transmission tower in the city. Premium Times reports that the insurgents planted explosives on each leg of the tower, which they detonated at about 6 a.m. In January, the terrorists struck power installations thrice at a location about 50km from Maiduguri to keep the city in the dark. The power, was however, restored on Wednesday, March 24, after nearly two months of blackout. While reconnecting the installation, three TCN officials were severely injured by a landmine planted by the insurgents. Another official was said to have lost his life after falling off a tower. The city has now been thrown into another darkness following the Saturday morning attack.

Emir of rano is sick but not related to Coronavirus- officials

Officials of the Rano Emirate Council in Kano State has confirmed that the Emir of Rano, Dr Tafida Abubakar Ila II, is sick but not related to covid-19. This was coming as reports making rounds in the state says the Emir is hospitalized over suspected case of covid-19.
