A 33-year-old woman is fighting for her life in the hospital after suffering a heart attack at her own wedding in Israel.

 

The bride, from the Sadot Negev region in southern Israel, collapsed in front of her guests during the wedding ceremony on Sunday, August 30.

 

According to IsraelHayom, the woman was kept alive by some of the guests who were medical professionals until paramedics arrived at the scene. The bride, who is also a doctor, was rushed to Soroka Medical Center in Beersheba in a critical condition. 

 

The woman received CPR en route to the hospital, local media said. She is currently being treated in the intensive care unit in the cardiology wing of the hospital. 

 

The wedding was held in the garden of a private home as wedding halls have been closed due to the coronavirus pandemic. 

 

So far, there have so far around 113,000 diagnoses of coronavirus and 906 deaths in Israel.

Nigerian footballer, Kelvin Odenigbo, drowns in Belarus lake

A Nigerian footballer, Kelvin Odenigbo, playing for FC Vitebsk in Belarus, has been found dead after drowning in a lake. Boko Haram throws Maiduguri into darkness again, blows up power tower.

Barely 72 hours after electric power was restored in Maiduguri, Borno State, Boko Haram insurgents on Saturday, March 27,  blew up another transmission tower in the city. Premium Times reports that the insurgents planted explosives on each leg of the tower, which they detonated at about 6 a.m. In January, the terrorists struck power installations thrice at a location about 50km from Maiduguri to keep the city in the dark. The power, was however, restored on Wednesday, March 24, after nearly two months of blackout. While reconnecting the installation, three TCN officials were severely injured by a landmine planted by the insurgents. Another official was said to have lost his life after falling off a tower. The city has now been thrown into another darkness following the Saturday morning attack.
