Bishop Joseph Masin, the Chairman of the Nasarawa State Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN ) has regained freedom after being kidnapped on May 27. .
LIB reported earlier that the gunmen who stormed his residence at Bukan Sidi area of Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital had demanded a N20m ransom for his release. .
One of the CAN Chairman’s sons, Pastor Sam Joseph who confirmed that his father has been released said he arrived home around 2am on Sunday May 31. He said; .
“The Bishop was released around 11 pm on Saturday and arrived home around 2am this Sunday.”
It is however not clear if a ransom was paid to secure the CAN Chairman's freedom.
