How onion almost scatter my marriage- Nigerian chef narrates

Nigerian chef identified as Chinnels Kitchen on Twitter narrated how her and her husband used to quarrel over onions. The wife loves onions in her food while the husband doesn’t.

After many fights, the mother-in-law intervened and the chef settled for grinding the onions to settle their differences.

“11 yrs ago, a young and pretty baby geh got married 😅, she was 22 and he was 26,we were so young and willing to go thru life together, we argued, laughed, cried, struggled together. I remember our first years, how we would fight cos of onions, he hates onions, I love onions.

“He complained and struggled to enjoy his food, then quarrels started, until the last fight, he was so mad and refused to eat. Our parents had to intervene, my mum called and said ** chinelo he didn’t eat onion for 26yrs of his life, how do you think that will change now🤔

“Stop forcing him to eat onions !! Iga makwa ihe ma ika’nka? 😅

My mother-in-law pleaded * chi you know I love onions too, but he doesn’t like it, you can blend so he won’t see it😂😂 , those words from them touched me and I adjusted, started blending 😥and onion fights stopped.

Boko Haram throws Maiduguri into darkness again, blows up power tower.

Barely 72 hours after electric power was restored in Maiduguri, Borno State, Boko Haram insurgents on Saturday, March 27, blew up another transmission tower in the city. Premium Times reports that the insurgents planted explosives on each leg of the tower, which they detonated at about 6 a.m. In January, the terrorists struck power installations thrice at a location about 50km from Maiduguri to keep the city in the dark. The power, was however, restored on Wednesday, March 24, after nearly two months of blackout. While reconnecting the installation, three TCN officials were severely injured by a landmine planted by the insurgents. Another official was said to have lost his life after falling off a tower. The city has now been thrown into another darkness following the Saturday morning attack.
